Summary/Abstract: On 12th of April 2012, on the occasion of the 1140 meeting of the Ministers' Deputies, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe adopted Recommendation CM / Rec (2012) 5 which covers the European Code of Ethics for Prison Staff. The adoption of this code for prison staff comes as a consequence of natural concerns shown in the past by the Council of Europe in this area, given that on January 11, 2006 it adopted the Recommendation Rec (2006) 2 which covers the European Prison Rules on the occasion of the 952nd meeting of the Ministers' Deputies.
