Summary/Abstract: Secondary modifications can be divided into recent and contemporary. The first group is usually the result of clay and sand quarrying, agricultural and construction activi¬ties, the actions of “treasure hunters” of archaeological artifacts with metal detectors etc. The second group includes the contemporary modifications with the following motives: 1. Grave plundering 2. Grave desecration 3. Rituals Secondary modifications also include subsequent burying and grave superpositions. Secondary modifications is a phenomenon whose reasons often cannot be defined clearly. It provides multiple interpretations for the researchers, which itself fuels the necessary discussion.
