Summary/Abstract: A fascination with centaurs A plot to capture centaurs A mythical radiance beyond human reach The human mind could not stop thinking about some exceptionally beautiful creatures. They became the main fascination and sense in life. Two years of preparations involved impressive and unparalled knowledge about them as well as the investment of all one’s savings, yet without a hint of sacrifice. “Patience, a little bit of luck and the great skill of waiting for victory.” And finally, the desired moment arrived: at sunset the mythical figure appeared in the thicket. The pure joy of seeing the “infinitely beautiful” centaur. The miracle finally happened. “Reality outshone all dreams”. According to the meticulous plan, the mythical animal, captured by human hand, was transported to a private estate. Despite being fenced in, the forest created an illusion of the centaur’s natural habitat. “Fortune continued to be kind” and helped the achievement of another extremely difficult feat: a magnificent female centaur soon joined the overjoyed inhabitant of the forest thickets, who had thus far been all alone. Legend had it that “centaurs are the sons of males and not the result of common copulation, as is the case for lower species.” Thus, the appearance of the female made the humans very happy. And shortly the company was joined by two more centaurs. The extraordinary became a reality: a baby centaur was born. It was now possible to successfully move to the next stage of this unbelievable plot. The profits made on selling these beautiful creatures were to finally bring returns on the five-year investment that even consumed the family residence. Obviously, the newborn centaur was an immediate hit with affluent people who indulged in satisfying their various and bizarre desires. But separating the infant from the mother led to a serious deterioration in the female’s condition. To save her health the baby was returned to its parents. Nevertheless, the situation continued to cause concern. All the centaurs, the female and the males, began losing their vitality and ceased to emanate their magic power. The reason was to remain undiscovered until two years later.
