Summary/Abstract: There were significant changes in the Jewish religious life after the year 70 AD. Destruction of the Second Temple, the lack of political freedom, the rise of Christianity, have contributed to the profound transformation of both the theological thought as well as the usual practice among the Jews. Second Book of Baruch, the apocrypha preserved in Syriac (language), which was designed in the turn of I–II century AD tries to answer the question about the causes of the Jews nation – religious disaster and seek new ways of experiencing their identity and relationship with God. Israel’s holy of holies – the Temple of Jerusalem in the light of Jewish apocalyptic song, which refers to a variety of earlier traditions, turns out to be only a shadow of true, indestructible spirit – preserved temple of God.
