Summary/Abstract: The report presents the findings of a study of political misrepresentation in Bulgaria. The main goal of the study is to develop a positive account of political misrepresentation, not as a misfortunate accident of sorts suffered by the political system, but rather as a particular capital dynamically produced and exploited by the political actors. I believe that studying the positive dimension of political misrepresentation will advance our understanding of the subtle mechanisms invented by the late modern democracies in order to protect themselves from the supposedly irrational behaviour of the public.
