Summary/Abstract: The study summarizes the events of April 25, 1974 in Portugal and the simultaneous comments made and written by Natália Correia and compares them with the contemporary Portuguese society. The aim of the author is to show the absurdity and complexity of this historical moment and the life and its controversy of an intellectual, poet and social activist who had definite opinion about everything and influenced the Portuguese culture in a decisive way in the twentieth century.
