Summary/Abstract: The following paper includes an analysis of the admissibility of automatic judgment systems in civil cases, with special consideration for the proceedings by reminder of payment. The admissibility of automatic judgment systems is considered under current regulations constituting the Polish legal system, especially the Polish Constitution, as well as in the light of the current state of science and technology. Although, for the reasons discussed in the article, there may be only one conclusion to the presented remarks, the issue of the admissibility of automatic judgment systems ceases to be only of theoretical nature, especially due to intensive efforts made in the last decade in order to enable the usage of the modern communication technology in the civil proceedings. Nowadays, the discussed solutions seems to be more feasible than theoretical or even idealistic opinions, suggesting the possibility of replacing human thought with computers equipped with artificial intelligence in relation to judging, formulated in the in the 90s of the XXth century, together with the very first attempts to use the achievements of the modern technology in the judicial system.
