The medieval monastery complex “Sts. Cyricus and Julitta” in Sozopol (Preliminary notes)

Summary/Abstract: In general the article presents the results of the archeological excavations at the Sozopol Island “Sts. Cyricus and Julitta” (season 2009) and its purpose is to present mainly the studied source and interpretation literature related to the monastery complex which existed there, the quest of which justifies the conduct and financing of such a large-scale archeological exploration of the terrain. The presented information will definitely help the archeologists with drawing conclusions of their research and with mapping out their forthcoming tasks.
