Summary/Abstract: Local development presents consequences of experimentation with decentralization process due to intensive processes of the economy’ globalization and increasing of capital’ mobility. Specifics of management monitoring of local development strategy is related to the specifics of planning and organizing of monitoring of local development strategy and human resources who are dealing with management monitoring of local development strategy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Monitoring provides to managers of project and strategies, as well as to all other participants of local economic development, a possibility to provide continuous feedback of implementation of strategy and results of that implementation. By learning from the experience of old and new EU member, than from other intrant’ countries, regions and cities, a significant number of local communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina has actively joined to the strategic planning of local development. Expected results should provide to the local governments a better understanding of the role and importance of strategic planning of local development. Based on expected results management should clearly define their major roles and responsibilities, they also should timely and quality bring the key decisions and to perform their duties, especially in the implementation of monitoring strategies and local development plans.
