Summary/Abstract: That is the fifth novel by Mirko Marjanović, Croation and Bosnian writer. Basic characteristic of his expression is simplicity on all levels, from narrative structure to language and style. Plot of novel is in Posavina’s small town Šomart near Garda, on the beginning of 1990, before war, and present us ghostly evil which spread by all world, show prewar’s psychosis, shadow of malicious. Mosaic of live figures created polysyllabic counterpoint of relationships between old-new, village-town, animal-human etc. Figure’s illusions, nightmares, somnabulism and life mistakes gave us search for reality where everybody asked for hope in future? Only human person in novel is figure of priest Ambrozije, franciskan, as representative of Good in human space, who is different from all others. This novel is the top of creativily thinking “art of narrative” by Marjanović where he was writing more about human nature then another forms of evil what we could saw during the past war
