Gender aspects of cultural policy

Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on gender analysis of various aspects of the cultural policy of modern Russia. It considers Russia's cultural policy in terms of gender sensitivity and gender equality. The author focuses on the potential and activization of social functions of culture, conducts analysis of construction and legitimization of the gender arrangements by means of culture, gender hierarchy of employment. In particular, the issues of accessibility of services are considered through the prism of gender budget analysis in the context of liberalization of Russia's cultural policy.
