Summary/Abstract: In order to conceive our Savior, God and Man, we have to follow the pulse of the Church. The Church exists through Christ who wishes us the abundance of life. Because of this mystery, the Church becomes the Church of living people, constantly refreshed by the Holy Spirit. That helps us to understand, why the Church is our Mother, but who always requires the intercession of Our Mother Mary. We have to be exceptionally grateful to the Fathers of the Vatican Council II who deeply analyzed this truth and proclaimed it in the Constitution Lumen gentium, presenting the compendium of Mariology. All the people of God show love and veneration to the Blessed Mary. With her fat started the mystery of Incarnation. So her heart under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in union with her Son radiates love to every human person. So her heart is inexhaustible. In the Apparition of Our Lady in Šiluva we can watch the same Mary’s obedience to God: “...let everything you have said happen to me”(Lk 1:38). The object of the research - the Apparition of Our Lady in Šiluva. The aim of the article – to reveal Mary’s perfect submission to God’s will. The tasks in order to reach this aim: 1. To consider the meaning of fat in Šiluva apparition as a source of grace. 2. Mary’s mission is fulfilled in Christ. 3. God’s revelation in Šiluva events. Methods used: historical, comparative, analytic and presumptive. Hypothesis: St. Mary’s fat in the apparition of Šiluva as a continuation of her fat in the Annunciation. God chooses special places on the Earth where he himself or through his Blessed Mother visibly appears and sends his abundant graces to people. One of such places is Šiluva. This year is the 400th anniversary when people not only from Lithuania but from all over the world experience miraculous love of the Blessed Mary. And it happens because at the moment of Annunciation the angel had called Mary as “full of grace”(Lk 1:28). Conclusions: 1. Following the deep meaning of the word fat, we can conclude that Mary in Šiluva also pronounced fat to her Son and became a source of special graces not only to the believers of Lithuania but also to all the people of good will, coming and praying in Lithuania. 2. The Church bases her piety and love to Christ’s Mother on her participating in Christ’s mysteries. Without Christ we cannot conceive Mary, especially her participation in his mission. Mary was a witness and bearer of Christ’s human nature. As the most perfect person without any sin, she agreed to be the intercessor of special God’s graces in Šiluva and she is the Mother of our nation and all people of the whole world. During 400 years her love to her people is always the same in Šiluva. We hope to transfer this devotion and love to future generations.
