Honors for Professor Lech Trzeciakowski – a reasearcher of the Polonia in Germany

Summary/Abstract: Article presents prof. Lech Trzeciakowski, a prominent historian of the 19th and 20th century. He was born in 1931 in Poznan, the city with which he tied all his future life. After graduation he began working in a primary school, but in 1955 he accepted a position at the Institute for the History of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. In the years 1974-1978 he served as head of the Department of Studies on Polonia of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In his scholarly work he focused mainly on the history of Poles in Germany.
