Summary/Abstract: The Author analyzes the personalist doctrine of John Paul II. His article shows man as the agent of work, and describes three domains of values contained by the personal dimension of human work. The first domain concerns person who does work which is the good of man and his humanity, as human being works not only to transform nature, but to become more man as well. The next domain concerns family where work conditions the making of family and the whole process of human edu-cation in family. The last domain refers to society as the great (though indirect) educator of man and the great historical and social embodiment of the work of generations. Thus, work becomes a cause of man’s identity with his nation what multiplies his contribution to the output of the mankind.
