Summary/Abstract: This study proposes an analysis of the connection between the text of the performance and its reception at the level of the theatre plays put on stage by Radu Alexandu Nica. The discussion encompasses the theoretical concepts on which the director’s poetics relies, such as de-theatricalization, intertextuality and the technique of filmic narration, as well as their applicability to the director’s artistic undertaking.
