Summary/Abstract: Domine is a feminist organization founded in late 2002. They are active in the fields of promotion of women's rights and development of civil society through education and empowerment of women for civic initiatives and activism. They have chosen their name Domine (Dominoes), vishing to cause a positive domino-effect of promoting women's human rights and gender equality, and other pillars and values of civil society. They especially insist on importance of these goals in area that are distinctly patriarchal, as Split and Dalmatia, where the idea of feminism remains very far away from the social reality. They are involved in numerous activities, including the education on women's rights, gender equality and civil society. They organise campaigns - street actions (on the occasion of 16 Days of Activism, March 8, Grak). They promote women's human rights in the media and advocate the women's political participation. They conduct researches and they are involved in publishing. They cooperate and are networked with other women's and feminist organizations on national and international level.
