Summary/Abstract: In the attempt to give a complete picture of the notion expressed by the word “drug” as well as the words related to it, the author reviews a few definitions given by a series of dictionaries published in Romanian from 1975 to the most recent editions. Examples of the using of slang synonyms such as “grass” for marijuana complete this article.
