Summary/Abstract: The Brussels Convention from 1968 has been started with the process of creating a brand new law discipline called “European civil procedure law”. The process of creating the European civil procedure law upon Maastricht Treaty has came into force continue as a EU polity called “Judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters” and has been put into the EU’s Third pillar. After Amsterdam Treaty has came into force the polity “Judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters” has been transferred on higher level directly into the EU’s First pillar, because of that the judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters became one of the priority EU’s polities and tasks. This paper elaborates on the existence of European civil procedure law as an autonomy law discipline into the corpus of EU law.
