Summary/Abstract: For the same reason why we do not have a Constitution. We do have one, but we know it is not the real thing. Institutions. We have them, but we know it is not the real thing. The car industry. We have it, but we know it is not the real thing. Football. We have it, but we know it is not the real thing. The stock exchange. We have it, but we know it is not the real thing. Rule of law. We have it, but we know it is not the real thing. Genetic and nano-technology research. We have it, but we know it is not the real thing. Public broadcasting service. We have it, but we know it is not the real thing. I would rather not continue. The same applies to art: we have it, but we know it is not the real thing. I ask again: why in our Serbia - the one that we have today - art is not possible? And I have the answer: for the same reason politics is not possible in our Serbia. Meaning: because in our Serbia what is possible is not possible. Because both politics and art are active and alive in the area of possible. There is no possible in Serbia. In the best case, what is possible is excess, exception, incident, error and a flaw in the system.
