Summary/Abstract: The Madness’ Ages in André Baillon’s Texts. This paper analyses two texts written in the 20’s by the francophone Belgian writer André Baillon. The analysis focuses on the characters’ madness and compares them by their age. The “young madness” is characterized by the intrusion of adults which spoil the fragile mind of a boy. The “adult madness” is represented by the conflict between the reason and the instincts. Both the young madness and the adult one speak basically the same language, marked by obsessions, exclamations, unfinished sentences.
