Summary/Abstract: The article explores transnational practices and multiple senses of belonging of Franco-Portuguese youth. It is based on a multi-sited ethnographic research in both France and Portugal, which was carried out between 1999 and 2002. The author first points to the permanence and the specificity of mobility that Franco-Portuguese youth establishes with the country of origin. In the second part the focus is on wedding rites, which appear as a particularly interesting locus for the construction and negotiation of the sense of belonging.
