Policy Cycle, the History of Cultural Strategies in Bulgaria, and Marxism

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the history of cultural strategies in Bulgaria and their ideologization during the era of state socialism and in the period from the end of the 20th century until today. The study is based (though not only) on the Marxist understanding of modern public relations as a system of domination and subordination; the author interprets the policy cycle through Bourdieu’s theory of fields.
