Major sources of budgetary revenues in Poland.

Summary/Abstract: This paper provides an empirical and theoretical overview of the budgetary income in Poland. In the first section the concepts of the public income and budgetary revenues are introduced. Next, the analysis of the tax revenues during the 9-year timeframe (2000–2008, i.e. pre- and post-EU accession period) is conducted. The author takes into consideration both economic and legal contexts of the budgeting process. The paper draws on the data and information published by the Polish Ministry of Finance.
