Summary/Abstract: A metallic artefact has been found close to a skull, among the G1-Trench II/2003 old bone remains. The chemical composition of this metallic object was determined with the help of a scanning electron microscope coupled with an X-ray analyser. The results indicate the fact that the metallic artefact was made of copper, using the beating technique. In the given archaeological context, the artefact could be interpreted as a funeral inventory object.
