Summary/Abstract: The author studies the self-image (the self reflecting identity) and the hetero-images (the explored alterities) in Emil Cioran's Caiete. The imagological concepts are checked through a large amount of examples, the author concluding that all these image categories represent contradictory effects of an expansive subjectivity
