Summary/Abstract: Globalization is a complex process that links economic, political, social and cultural factors, which interact on the world’s level thanking to the expansion of knowledge, information, trade and technology across geo-graphic borders and poles of economic activity. influences provoked by globalization are expressed through serial of changes in social, economic, cultural and political fields. changes in social state are linked to global-ization, whereas it is of decisive importance for processes of social policy reforms in some parts of the world. regardless their levels of develop-ment, differences among countries are large and a common conclusion on their access to social reforms can not be easily drawn from comparative perspective. nevertheless, there are similarities that help identifying tasks, and, above all, identifying traps which one might face with while creating social policy in the world where globalization has become the prevailing context of human development. Social policy created in highly developed countries is not universally applicable.
