Summary/Abstract: In early 1954, the Soviet-Yugoslav political and diplomatic relations were characterized by a mutual suspicion. However, in June 1954, Nikita S. Khrushchev initiated an extensive correspondence with Josip Broz Tito, and, as a result, a Soviet delegation visit to Yugoslavia was organized, between May 27 - June 2, 1955. Based on documents from the Central National Historical Archives, this article focuses on the main events that contributed to the normalization of the political and diplomatic relations between Soviet Union and Yugoslavia.
