Summary/Abstract: This paper aims at studying the importance of parables in Eugenio Barba’s theoretical thought. It is shown here that Barba’s parables are not allegories. They are simple in form, but very rich in their implications, as the parables of religious and spiritual masters. Built at the crossroads of oral and written culture, Barba’s parables imply a profound wisdom and have a great pedagogical value.
