Attitudes of Russia and Turkey Towards Georgia and Ethnic Problems

Summary/Abstract: This article is to focus on the problems of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in Georgia, one of the three Southern Caucasian countries, pointing to the historical background and development of the problem and trying to explain the lack of progress towards the resolution of the conflicts. In this context, the relations of two regional powers, Turkey and Russia, with Georgia are to be evaluated and their policies towards ethnic conflicts in the region will be analyzed.
