Summary/Abstract: The jubilee edition of the Bible of Blaj gives the author the opportunity to pay a tribute to Samuil Micu, the 18th century Transilvanian scholar and clergyman by the efforts of which the Bible was translated and published. The article embodies a couple of sample translations made by Samuil Micu and Petru Creţia to stand for the art, finesse and, in resemblance to the latter, the translated text's modernity.
