PERSPEKTIVE RAZVOJA SPORTA U SRBIJI NAKON EKONOMSKE KRIZE
FUTURE PROSPECTS IN SPORT DEVELOPMENT IN SERBIA FOLLOWING THE ECONOMIC CRISIS

Summary/Abstract: The world economic crisis affected all spheres of human activities including sport, since sport activities depend larglely both upon the support of government authorities and the economy as a whole. The economic crisis is definitely going to have a grave impact on this area. At this point, it should be noted that the notion of sport in this paper shall be viewed bilaterally- from the point of micro level (sport club) and macro level (state, region and city). Once the economic crisis has passed, the state should focus on further development in the sphere of sport and popularization of sport as a healthy life style, through activities organized in kindergartens, schools, faculties etc. All of the afore-mentioned should be accompanied by the change of legal regulations relating to sport benefits granted to all those economic subjects that sponsor sport in general, whether in the professional or amateur sport fields. Current legal regulations destimulate investments in sport and everything rests upon someone’s good will.
