TRANZITION IN SERBIA IN CONDITIONS OF CRISIS

Summary/Abstract: The time behind us and the legacy left by that period can be characterized as a time of difficulty, uncertain and in many ways risky and complicated. Therefore the last decades of the twentieth century will be remembered as the beginning of deep reforms and transformations in the socio-economic and social terms, in accordance with the implementation of a successful, internationally competitive and dynamic state. However, the impact of global ecomomic crisis leads to diminishing results of basic macroeconomic indicators in the transition process. The paper aims to conduct an analysis of the results achieved in the transition process in Serbia and comparison with defined objectives, and defining a gap between the expected and the achieved.
