Summary/Abstract: The antitrust policy is a mix of social policy, economics, law, administrative practices and science. Antitrust laws are based on concern about concentration of economic power and potentials for their abuse. It is similar to the concerns based on the concentration of political power and preferences toward dispersion of political power between institutions and during elections. As well as the constitution controls political power, the antitrust policy focuses on controlling the economic power. Antitrust policy also supports the economic policy. The main goal is to protect competition and consequently create welfare for consumers. Therefore, antitrust policy tackles market structures, behavior of participants on the market and resulting performances of market.
