European Union funds use in financing of territorial self-governments units’ investment in Lublin region

Summary/Abstract: Communes as financially independent units can acquire added funds to realize targets. Self-governments units very often use supplementary financial sources like the sources from the European Union budget as well as those ones which do not have to be returned from the member countries of EFTA. This paper identifies and examines the degree of European Union funds use in financing of investment targets by self-governments units in Lublin region. The survey was conducted to determine the level of territorial self-government units’ investment in Lublin region within 2007-2011 as well as an analysis was made to determine the share of targets financed by European Union funds in total investment.
