Summary/Abstract: The years 2007-2009 were difficult for Landesbanken in Germany because of the crisis. Landesbanken are crucial in a bank system and German economy. German government took steps in rescuing the bank system. The article discusses the reasons of bad financial condition of Landesbanken and the solutions of saving them from bankruptcy.
