Summary/Abstract: This study is an attempt to apply Judith Butler’s concept of hate speech and Pierre Bourdieu’s concept of performative magic to the analysis of the gender construction process. The article discusses several kinds of teacher’s hate speech as part of the production of legitimate school version of gender. The results of the analysis illustrate the phenomenon of discrimination within language and school communication.
