Summary/Abstract: Assumptions for redefining of collective identity and stating of the basic consensus in the societies fi lled with post dictator, political memory are the subjects of this study. In the normative sense of the word the power of constitutional shaping shows the capacity of a political community to define the political status ex nihilo including at the same time the idea of legitimate power and the bearers of political will which is the result of the new order. Classical liberal-pluralistic conception of consensus is based on the ideas of consent, contracts and the pluralized conception of public and political field. It is enough to mark a few fundamental values outside of the political fighting, to give a society a necessary element of stability and secure the peaceful reproduction of political power. This study, as mentioned above, analyses the process of collective identity defining in the political society of Serbia aft er the deep political change. Th e process of constitualization of the revolutionary energy is the main roll of the political processes and the relationship between revolution and state is a hard and unsolvable question that is becoming the core of political discourse. Th e deep decay of social and political body of the society bears violent political solutions. Th e analysis of structural deficit in renewing of the collective identity in Serbia is based on the following normative and theoretical grounds.
