Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the issue of the proper interplay between liberal values and cultural diversity. The focal question of this paper is to what extent the diversity should be politically, legally and culturally recognized. The author tried to argue that the model of „liberal multiculturalism“ is most preferable one for ethnoculturally divided societes. For these reason the liberal state should implement a series of multicultural policies in order to provide to all citizens enough resourse for fair and effective paricipation in society.
