Panislamism and Panislamic Discourse about Decadence of Islamic World

Summary/Abstract: Author considers two aspects of the subject in this paper. First aspect is a political circumstances in muslim world in which reformistic movements have been begun, with special focus on movement of panislamism. Second aspect is an analysis of some books of panislamic inclination. Panislamists from the 1th part of the 20th sentury have identified several causes of decline of muslim world. Amoung those causes the most important are high rank of illitercy, conservativism in interpretation of islam, totalitarian government, etc.
