Summary/Abstract: The analysis of general structure reveals that the structure of contracts for services and authorisation agreements is standardized, but not rigid. The formal structure also conveys cognitive structure, thereby expressing the communicative purpose of the contracts. Due to the register (formal register) and the domain (legal domain), the set of communicative purposes of the contracts is limited, and no hidden strategies are used. The context-specific purpose of contracts is to shape social reality: contracts have a regulatory impact on all the spheres of life that make use of them. The textual communicative purpose is manifested in the formalisation of the relationship between the contracting parties: with the employment of instructive means of expression, the rights and obligations of the contracting parties are fixed.
