"AESTHETICS OF FEAR" IN THE TRIPTYCH "TREE-ARCHED BRIDGE" AND NOVEL "THE PALACE OF THE DREAMS" OF ISMAIL KADARE

Summary/Abstract: The following article focues on the novels of Ismail Kadarè, the novelist that is the internationally well-known representative of the Albanian literature in the 20th century. This article aims to analyze the phenomenon that we call “aesthetics of fear” in the prose of this author. This phenomenon can be analyzed if the literary work of Kadare is considered as a system where the novles connect to each other in particular relationships and therefore lead to several lines of interpre-tations. These two ideas we try to apply on the triptych “The Treee-Ar-ched Bridge” and in the novel “The Palace of Dreams”.
