Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the extennsions and correction to UDC, for the science field of biotechnology and the use of these numbers in the catalog of The National Library of Serbia. These amendments provide new opportunites for the classification of publication in this field, which certainly contributes to im-proving the quality of information users.
