Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is critical expounding of theoretical foundations of Skerlić's review of Kosic's book Modern Germany. This paper analyzes various types of objections which Skerlić addressed to Kosic' book in his review and shows the essence of the topicality and importance of Skerlić's concept of criticism as a scientific genre.
