Summary/Abstract: This article wants to reveal the religious life of the writer Mihail Gaşpar. Orthodox priest, fighter for national rights, writer, Gaspar confesses his own religious life through his work. He manages to create an authenhic Christian atmosphere both through the lexis and the Christian ritual. Sacred spaces such as the church or monastery, altar servants (metropolitan bishop, priest), sacred books (Gospels), the sacraments of the Church (Eucharist, Matrimony), rebuild a world of orthodoxy in XIX Century Romania.
