The role of nongovernmental organizations in preventing and combating child missing

Summary/Abstract: The growing phenomenon of the disappearance of minors (in U.S. around 2,000 minors disappear every day, in Canada 200, in France over 100) has caused concern both within social and protection institutions and for authorities that are responsible to trace and return them. Throughout the article, the author examines some aspects regarding the role and place of Romanian governmental organizations in preventing and combating child missing.
