Summary/Abstract: In this research embroidery puckering was studied, depending on different raw materials of embroidering threads (rayon and polyester) and embroidery fills. Two problematic embroidery fill types were selected. Respectively prepared samples were recorded by a digital camera. Corel Draw 12 software was used for bitmap editing and pucker height measurement. The heights of puckers were measured after different times: right after embroidery, after 5, 30, 60 and 1440 min. It was found out, that in X fill type embroidery a polyester thread is better because with rayon threads puckers are highest and the quality of the garment will be worse. In Y fill type embroidery it was recommended to use a rayon thread because puckers are smallest and more stabilized than in embroidery with a polyester thread. The relaxation time has a significant effect on pucker height change. In case of embroidery with a polyester thread, pucker height increased to 62,6 %, comparing with start – up time.
