Summary/Abstract: Nowadays forming processes tend to Net Shape and Near Net Shape formation, which consists of an increasing complexity of the component and minimizes the number of steps in production in order to reduce production costs and improve the quality of the final product. But this type of the process requires high loads and it creates press deflections, therefore it was undertaken to measure and characterise press stiffness. The aim of this paper is to define the dependence of the press K1 2132 stiffness on the thickness of a cutting sheet. A numerical experiment using Solid Works 2005 and Cosmos Works 2005 in the stamping subdivision of the „Ekmecha“ was made.
