Phonetic notes about the idiom of Rogozhina hilly region

Summary/Abstract: The author J. Çerepi represents in this article some interesting data regarding the idiom of Rogozhina hilly region, which belongs to the group of southern geg dialect. The characteristics of this idiom are pointed out in the vowel and consonant system, where one can easily notice the geg features of this idiom. The author treats some characteristic phenomena of the geg idioms such as the length of the vowels, their nasal character, the assimilation of the vowel and consonant groups etc. The article analyses also the various phonetic phenomena such as: deafening of the vowels, voicing of the consonants, the falling and addition of sounds, elision, assimilation etc.
