Electronic Inflectional Dictionary of Varsovian Proper Names

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a dictionary of urban proper names of Warsaw. More precisely, the dictionary is a record of city objects which links them with names and categorises them according to a hierarchy of concepts. The dictionary describes inflection of proper names and their variants including spoken and abbreviated forms. Moreover, in the dictionary we represent historical and popular proper names and link them with city objects. In the paper we describe how variants of proper names were chosen and shed some light on problems with proper name lemmatization.
