Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to provide the answer to the question: how to make a lemmatization of multi-word units in Polish dictionaries? Multi-word units are understood as combinations of forms non-existing in other distribution. Thus, idiomatic expressions (such as {fiksum dyrdum, fugas chrustas, hokus-pokus}) and specified prepositional phrases (w tas, na wynos) are the subjects of description. Author analyzes also specific technical nouns (for example {lapa, rabaty, wątpia, mary}) whose forms are homonymous with typical common Polish nouns. On the basis of Polish text corpora and Poznan file the author suggests detailed solutions for Polish lexicography especially for {The Grammatical Dictionary of Polish}.
